Be still and let go – Pastor Edgar
If you’re anything like me you desire instant gratification when it comes to the things of God. Not only on the timing but also on HOW things should happen. But I find myself challenged by a short, simple phrase in God’s Word that packs a very powerful punch
Psalms 46:10 “Be still and know that I am God”
The Hebrew word for “Be Still” is LET GO OF YOUR GRIP
Be still and let go of your own understanding.
Be still and let go of your desire to control what others think of you.
Be still and let go of your need to control outcomes.
What will you “Be Still and let go of” today”?

Good word Pastor. There are many things I need to be still and let go of. At the top of the list is anxiety and worry about the future. The future of our country worries me, the future for my kids and the fact that every day I can feel my body aging worries me. Lots of things to worry about if we let Satan control our thoughts. I found that the simplest way to be still and let go is to do a nose dive into the Word. When I fill my thoughts with the things of God and invite the Holy Spirit to regain control of my life, there is no room for worry or anxiety! I have to make a concious effort to daily renew my mind an my thoughts.
All good words and just when we needed to hear them. Mike and I have the same issues and it helps to hear how some one else deals with them. Thank you.
